our talent to the world is through award programs such as

Burleigh.
"Thanks to the Awards, Golden Orb Technologies has now signed a
contract with the Malaysian Government worth an initial $300,000 but
with the potential to achieve up to $15 million," Mr Lucas
said.
While in Kuala Lumpur, Asia-Pacific awards nominees will have
the chance to showcase their innovations at an expo to
be held from September 3-6 as part of the ICT Awards
week.
The
awards are designed to foster cooperation between member countries for
the promotion, development and growth of the information and communication technology
industries.
Mr
Lucas said that following the awards and expo, some of the
delegation will head to Brunei where a number of trade
related activities have been planned with the Brunei government and ICT
companies.
"The
visit to Brunei by these Queensland ICT companies will no doubt
enhance this State's trade relationships with Brunei and should lead
to business partnerships at the industry and firm level," Mr Lucas
said.
Mr Lucas said the Beattie Government was committed to
providing support to the information and communication technology industry to
ensure it becomes one of the leading drivers of the Smart
State.
